When Fernando Perri opened the first Vivenda do Camarão restaurant at São Paulo city / Brazil in 1984, he did so with a clear and straight forward business concept: Serve fine quality shrimp at a fair price. With his sons, Rodrigo and Diego, and Miss Evelyn Perri his wife, who have been with the company since the start, Perri has opened more than 180 dining locations around the globe. He uses that same business model for all.
Based on the success of his properties around the world, Perri decided to open restaurants in the United States. He worked with Oxford USA, the largest Brazilian consulting firm in the US, to plan for a chain of dining locations starting in Florida, home of the president of the company Mr. Carlo Barbieri.
They would bear the name “Shrimp House,” the English translation of Vivenda do CamarãoThe first Shrimp House opened in late 2013 at the Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs, FL. The second began its operations March 1, 2014 at the Dadeland Mall in Miami, FL and the newest Shrimp House is in the Town Center at Boca Raton mall, officially opened June 9, 2014. The locations in Coral Springs and Boca Raton offer a food court counter and a sit-down dining area. Dadeland is a food court site.
